This policy explains what Utopiadatez collects, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to the Utopiadatez mobile app and this website.

Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
Profile and preferences. Interests, activity categories, and any answers you give during onboarding.
Location. With your permission, your device's approximate or precise location, used to rank nearby events by distance. You can decline this and still use the app by entering a city or ZIP code manually.
Usage data. Which cards you view, save, or tap, so we can improve what the feed surfaces.
Device data. Device type, operating system version, and app version, for troubleshooting.
Website submissions. If you join the waitlist on this site, we collect the email address you provide.

How we use it

To build and rank your personalized feed of nearby events and activities.
To create and secure your account.
To send you service messages, and launch or product updates you've opted into.
To diagnose problems and improve the product.

Location data

Location is the core of how the app works, so it deserves its own section. We use it to calculate the distance between you and nearby venues and events. We do not sell your location data. We do not share your precise location with advertisers or partners. Location permission can be revoked at any time in your device settings, and doing so does not delete your account.

Partner and affiliate links

Some cards in the app link out to third-party ticketing, dining, or entertainment partners so you can complete a booking. When you tap one of these, you leave Utopiadatez and the partner's own privacy policy applies to what happens next.

We participate in affiliate programs, which means we may earn a commission when you book through one of these links. This is done using standard affiliate tracking, which may set a cookie or pass a referral identifier. It does not change the price you pay. We do not send partners your name, email address, or precise location.

Who we share data with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the app — hosting, database, authentication, analytics, and email delivery — and only to the extent they need it to do that work. We also share information where required by law, or in connection with a merger or acquisition. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and associated personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to keep records longer for legal or accounting reasons.

Your choices and rights

Access, correct, or delete your account data from within the app, or by emailing us.
Turn off location permission at any time in your device settings.
Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message.
If you're in California, the EU, or the UK, you have additional rights over your data, including access, deletion, and portability. Email us and we'll honor them.

Children

Utopiadatez is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we delete it.

Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls on our systems. No service can promise perfect security, but we treat your data as something we're holding on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and notify you in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
